Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILIAN EZABAL (ISABEL) WAHL (nee ATEAH) On Tuesday, January 24, 2012 our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister was called Home at the age of 93. She was the second child born February 15, 1918 to Albert and Bella Ateah in Beaconia, MB. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Hazel (Albert) Gerbrandt of Winnipeg, Albert (Lorena) of Erickson, MB, Doreen (Ben) Lewis of New Mexico, Margaret (Jerry Dennis) of Sandy Lake, MB, and Isabel (Herb Williams) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Dr. Byron (Debbie) Mackay of Toronto, Rebecca Foster (Glen Norquay), Tammy (Danny) Stolwyk, and James (Deborah) Foster; plus 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Simon and Tommy Ateah of Beaconia and other relatives there. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; parents; sister Ester; brothers Aman, Peter, Willard, Philip and Joe. Mom grew up in the Balsam Bay area where as a youth, she picked blueberries to sell; Mom was afraid of bears as a result and never liked blueberries. She married Dad and they raised us in the Goulbourne area near Ashern, MB. She was a very hard worker and after Dad's aging and passing in 1961, she struggled, while not in the best of health, to raise her family. In the mid 1960s we moved into Ashern. She lived in Winnipeg a short time in the 1970s but wanted to move back to her beloved Ashern. She resided in and then near the Trailer Park until May 2000, when she was unable to take care of herself. Tudor House Personal Care Home in Selkirk then became her residence. She worked at a few jobs at different times. Her cat, doing embroidery, jig-saw puzzles and reading brought her much joy. Mom accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour after listening to Theodore Epp on Back to the Bible radio programs. She faithfully read her Bible and prayed. We must not fail to mention her great love for music, singing hymns and playing the harmonica. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the Ashern Gospel Chapel with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Ashern Municipal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Byron Mackay, James Foster, Danny Stolwyk, Christopher Foster, Coty Foster and Ben Lewis. The family would like to thank the management and staff of Tudor House for the excellent care Mom received. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself said in John 14:3, If I go and prepare A PLACE for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Back to the Bible Canada, Box 246, Stn A, Abbotsford BC, V2T 6Z6. ARNASON FUNERAL HOME ASHERN LUNDAR 1-204-768-2072 1-866-323-3593
