ELEANOR WATSON Peacefully and after a short illness on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the age of 87 years, Eleanor Watson passed away with her daughter at her side at the Selkirk General Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Barry) Macintosh; grandchildren, Leah (Eric) Melnyk, Sandra (Bruce) Fournier and Susan (Tim) Case, as well as great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brendon and Cory Melnyk, Matthew and Carson Fournier, Jayden, Evan and Alexa Case. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Linklater, Joyce Komik and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by parents, Joseph and Edith Watson, brothers, Joseph, Wesley and Thomas, as well as sisters, Mary Ferguson, Betty Monkman and Myrtle Dixon. She was born in the R.M. of Brokenhead on July 29, 1924 and spent her entire life in the Winnipeg and Selkirk area, for the last 10 years as a resident at Red River Place in Selkirk. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
