Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JOAN MCKECHNIE Margaret Joan McKechnie passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Saturday, January 28, 2012. She is the dear Sister of Heather B. Youell (Ron). Loving Aunt of Alan Youell (Cheryl) and Shawna Ross (Stuart). Loving Great Aunt of Makena and Aidan Ross. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her wonderful extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father Hugh TL McKechnie in 1956 and her mother Cecelia (Sally) McKechnie in 2002. Margaret was employed by Manitoba Health for 42 years. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, if friend's so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Margaret was a wonderful woman who I enjoyed to get to visit everyday. She always made you feel so welcome when coming to her home. If either one of us were having a bad day by the time you left her home, all was ok. Tuesday was Margaret's and my puppy day with the Free Press, we would look at the cute pictures that people had sent in of their dogs and cats. Margaret you were like family to me and I am going to miss you very much, our chats and our cheer me up hugs that we would do when needed as I was leaving.
