I was very sorry to hear of Robert's death. Rob worked for my father at Wm. Braun Construction as a grader operator when he was a cool young guy. Robert and Betty lived on our farm and our family all grew to appreciate them. - Posted by: Bob Braun (co-worker from the 70s) on: Feb 03, 2012

So sorry to hear of the passing of Robert into the next life because he will not be around for us to enjoy. I am sure that he is still with us, though, as there is no such thing as death. It is only us, that survive in this world, that suffer his loss. My best regards to the family, at this time of grievance for the loss of father, husband, and friend. - Posted by: Guy St Hilaire (Friend and relative) on: Feb 02, 2012

Rob, having known you for over 35 years, you've taught me alot. From babysitting for you and Betty when I first met you, till the last 5 years or so when we'd travel the small southern towns for Die Cast swap meets and antique shows. I think you and I have the biggest Caterpillar die cast collections around. I know you agree with me. :) Your charm, generosity and overwhelming kindness, amazing and fun personality, and never-ending friendship will never ever be forgotten but rather, cherished forever. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Rest in peace, Robert Smith. We will always love you. Having worked with you for ten years Robert, you displayed the meaning of patience, perfection, and being the best at you do. Those traits are mirrored in your family as well...the ones you always spoke proudly of. You have taught me to appreciate the quality in the little things we take for granted We will miss you Robert - rest in peace Louis - Posted by: Louis Rouire (Friend) on: Feb 01, 2012

Robert..Having worked with you, in early years, you have taught me the importance of being on tim..getting picked up in the mornings and being ready ...not making others wait...That lesson is applied in my everyday routine...Thank You..also the noon time meta-slope (short nap) after lunch..a little rest that would energize you. Rest in Peace Robert Denis - Posted by: Denis Baudry (Friend) on: Feb 01, 2012
