ANGELINE MONDOR Peacefully on February 1, 2012, Angeline passed away at the Ste. Anne Hospital with family and friends by her side. Angeline was predeceased by her husband Maurice Mondor, parents Othelia and Lambert Thera, sister Gloria Baron, and brother Ronnie Thera. She leaves to mourn her passing her brother Arnold Thera (Mary), and many extended family and loved ones. Angeline was born on her family homestead in Saskatchewan on October 26, 1927. Angeline moved to Winnipeg as a young woman, and spent many years pleasing her customers as a cook/server at the Tourist Hotel, Nicolette Inn, and various restaurants in Ste. Anne. Her best dishes included home-made soups, pies, and her famous butter tarts. She married the love of her life Maurice Mondor on October 17, 1970, in Ste. Anne, MB. Although they had no children, she was very fond of her many nieces and nephews, making them a special part of her life. Her favourite pastimes included bingo, watching curling and the Blue Bombers on TV, ordering Avon, and visiting with family and friends. She also was a current member of the community's TOPS group, and felt a great friendship with her fellow members. We would like to thank Dr. Fredette and the nursing staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital for their care and compassion. Also a thank you to Father Gerald Michaud and Sister Irene Rioux for their spiritual support in her final hours. A special thank-you to friend Jeannine Carriere, nephew and niece Denis and Sue Ste. Marie, for your many years of caring and friendship. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the Ste. Anne Catholic Church, 162 avenue Centrale, Ste. Anne, MB, with a celebration of Angeline's life at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the Ste. Anne Cemetery to immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

Today is February 8, Wednesday, I am lost, Anne you are gone, in good hands I know, but I surely have a void! Wednesday was always your day for you and me! We can't have our treat of the week! Maybe I'll lose weight that way!! Everytime that phone rings early in the morning I think of you! Will miss you always! You had a beautiful funeral. To all your family I am sending my sympathies! Life is precious, take time to take time for one another, and your family! Love Jeanny & Jerry - Posted by: Jeanny Carriere (daughter she never had!) on: Feb 08, 2012

Anne was a woman who sat quietly and listened, only to give her sage advice. Her great sense humour will be missed. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have called her my friend. Thank you Anne! Rest with the angels and catch up for the lost time with your Maurice. Till we meet again. - Posted by: Yvonne St.Vincent (Friend, Tops Pal) on: Feb 04, 2012
