Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY DEMIANYK 1926 - 2012 Mary Demianyk passed away peacefully at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the age of 85. Mary was born in the Carlowrie district on February 10, 1926. As a young woman, she took up residence in Winnipeg, though she always considered Rosa home. Twenty-five years ago, Mary became a member of the Woytowich family, and she showered all of us with love and affection over the years. Left to cherish her memories are Marguerite and David, Jenna, Rina and Jonathon, and the extended family: Froese (John, Sylvia and children), Lapka (Jim and Elaine), Pitzel (Al, Janet and children), Woytowich (Anne, Frank, Wes, Marianne and Kris), Jervis (Donna and Malyssa) and the Kohuts. Mary also had many special friends and volunteers who will miss her as well. Though Mary faced challenges in her life after losing her sight as a young girl, she never let this interfere with doing the things she loved. She enjoyed crafting, outings with family and friends, social activities at the personal care home and celebrating all of the Ukrainian traditions of the season. She was pleased to celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baptisms and reunions with us. We were truly blessed by her love, sense of humour and joy. She also loved animals, especially dogs, and they loved her. Mary happily lived the last 11 years at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home. She loved the staff and residents there and considered herself blessed to call this her home. Our sincerest thanks is extended to the caring staff at St. Norbert, as well as to all of the wonderful volunteers who provided such loving and exceptional care to Mary throughout the years. The memorial service for Mary will be held at Mother Mary of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Kevin Bettens officiating. Urn Bearer will be Jonathon Woytowich, with interment in Rosa, Manitoba at a later date. Vichnaya Pamyat NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
