Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA POKKER (nee SANTA) 1925 - 2012 On February 8, 2012, amidst her loving family, Anna Pokker's joy was made complete as she entered the presence of her Loving Father at the age of 86 years. Known as Mama to all, she filled our lives with her steadfast faith, good food and endless love. After the death of her beloved husband Jozsef, Mama made herself busy helping raise her precious granddaughters - they were her life! At the cottage, summers were shared with long treks along the lakeshore, the joys of cooking, the secrets of gardening, and her rich nuggets of wisdom. Her joy was endless as she welcomed three new grandsons-in-law and eventually great-grandchildren! Mama was quick to share her love with everyone - she made countless pots of chicken soup and her tasty chicken fingers for family / friends. Mama baked tortes for Marriage Prep weekends / church bake sales, made cookies for recitals, and sent endless packages of her famous cheese sticks to her adopted family members as they celebrated life events. Mama also spent many hours making afghans for family / friends, enveloping each stitch with a prayer as she crocheted - we all felt her love surround us as we nestled under the soft warmth of these precious blankets. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Katalin and son-in-law Tibor, granddaughters Katalin (Alex), Carolina (Chad), and Virginia (Vaughn), great-grandchildren Ethan-Phoenix, Elora, Emma and Tyrus, relatives Anna Selyem, Joseph Pocker, Joseph and Ilona Selyem, Elizabeth and Joseph Remenyi and the extended Nagy / Szabo family. She will also be missed by her brother Jozsef and numerous nieces / nephews in Hungary. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband Jozsef (1984), and her son Laszlo (1996).
