ANTHONY (TONY) TYCHOLIZ
Date of Passing: Feb 12, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY (TONY) TYCHOLIZ With family at his side, Tony passed away on February 12, 2012 at the age of 89 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Martha, children Beverley (Bob), Linda (Mike), Connie (Bruce), Robert (Debbie), Charlene (Cory), Marcie (Jim) and Tom (Rhonda), 13 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his sister Helen and brother Russell. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Frances, sisters Amelia, Mary, Olia and grandson Garett. He was born and raised in Pine River, MB but lived most of his life in Winnipeg where he worked for the Department of National Defense from 1952 until his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed hunting with Russell and Eugene and had a passion for buying and fixing cars. He could fix or build anything and unselfishly helped family and friends throughout his life. He worked hard to support and ensure his family was well taken care of. Dad, we hope you knew how much we appreciated everything you did for us. After retirement he finally had more time to enjoy life including spending time with his grandchildren. We will never forget you Giga. We know heaven is full of cars to fix, jumble puzzles, cookies, ice cream and nuts and where nobody will care if you skip dinner for dessert. Heartfelt thanks to Linda and Mario for taking special care of Papa Tony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba or to a charity of choice. Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Private interment to follow. 586-8044

I will miss my Uncle Tony, but will always remember that while visiting one summer and having dinner at his home he served us what we thought was roast beef. Being that he was a hunter...we should have known better. - Posted by: Gail, Joe, James and Aaron Buonamici (Uncle to Gail) on: Mar 03, 2012

I have so many fond memories of Uncle Tony Aunt Martha and family. I'd always TRY and visit or phone them when I visited Wpg. but then, living so far away, my attempts to call or visit got fewer and fewer and for this I am so sad. To my cousins and Auntie Martha, please accept our most heart felt condolences......I know he was so loved.....I loved him too. - Posted by: Florence (Tycholis) & David Semeniuk (My dad Joe and Tony were first cousins, and Tony, Martha and their children (specially Beverly) were) on: Feb 17, 2012

Hello, I am Eugene Austman's daughter. I'm sorry for the loss of your husband, dad and grandfather. Tony and my dad were friends for many, many years and I knew him to be a kind man. After my dad passed away, I appreciated how he occasionally dropped in for coffee with my mom. In time, may memories of him not make you sad, but bring you comfort. - Posted by: Judy (Austman) () on: Feb 15, 2012
