Christie was predeceased by her parents Rose and Michael Solinski, and a nephew, Kevin Denis, and her two pets Chi-Chi and Corky. She is survived by her two sisters, Leona (Bill) Moroz; Patsy (Mikey) Denis, one brother Leonard (Marion) Solinski, along with the love of her many nieces and nephews. Christie was born and raised in Pine Ridge. She attended Pine Ridge School and Springfield Collegiate, having just attended her high school reunion. Christie was a devoted daughter, looking after her mom and dad until their passing. Christie was full of fun and love, being the best auntie (ciocia) to all her nieces and nephews, never missing a birthday or the chance to get together. Sending us e-mails, reading our Facebook pages, and always sending her encouragement to each and every one of us. She was always there when we needed her, but seldom asked anything of us in return. We will miss you so much. You have given us many fond memories of you to keep in our hearts. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel 576 Balsam Crescent in Oakbank. Her final resting place will be in Birds Hill Park Cemetery along side her mom and dad. Pallbearers will be Lorne Denis, Roger Moroz, Jeff Solinski, Brent Imlah, Matthew Hazell and Robert Prettie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christie's name to the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research, Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.

Christine, you kept me in touch with friends, from a distance. We named each other as "My Manitoba Buddy" and "My Alberta Buddy". You were a joy to know, a beautiful person and a heart as big as the world. I will truly miss you "My Manitoba Buddy". Love you, always your "Alberta Buddy", your friend Val. - Posted by: Valerie Petlikau (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2012
