EVELYN (LYNNE) PISCHKE May 13, 1940 - February 16, 2012 It is with our profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Evelyn (Lynne) Pischke on Thursday, February 16, 2012 with family and friends by her side at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, Manitoba. Lynne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the daughter of William and Helen Heatley. Lynne leaves to mourn her children Bill of Gillam, MB, Dave (Liz) of Ottawa and daughter Sherri (John) of Teulon. Five grandchildren Brooke-Lynn, Kylee, Jake, Conor and Niall. Also survived by brother Bill of British Columbia. As well as many wonderful friends of Teulon, Ashern, Moosehorn and Steep Rock. Lynne was predeceased by her husband Dave Pischke. Her mother Helen and father William. You may remember our Mom for her numerous volunteer work like the Ashern One Box Sharptail Hunters and on the sidelines keeping score for the Ashern Falcons and Farmerettes. She was deeply involved with her late husband's Walk for Abused Children. She kept herself busy; she loved her bus tours in the States and her vacations to Mexico. As well as her many bike tours. Mom also enjoyed cooking, knitting and visiting with friends. We can't forget she was well known to her friends and family as the Queen of Canning. She volunteered at the Gateway Manor where in her last few years she was a resident. A special thanks to Dr. Loudon and the staff of the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Grace Hospital, Gateway Manor, Senior Resource Center, home care staff and the Teulon District Handi-Van. As per her wishes no funeral services will be held. Cremation to take place. A friend and fellowship will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre, Main Street, between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at the Faulkner Cemetery, Faulkner, Manitoba. Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Just now hearing of Lynne's passing, I send my thoughts to Billy, David and Sherri and families. I remember my first day of school, Sherri and I were late so we decided not to go. We found a hiding spot (that was right downtown in plain sight) everyone saw us and called Lynne. She came and got us and we received a smack on the bum. I was so scared, I tried to stay behind her so I wouldn't get smacked again! From then on, I always thought she could read our minds; how did she know where we were hiding? She must know everything like Santa does!! Lynne was a big part of my life as Sherri and I grew up together and I played at Sherri's house almost ever day. together. I am privileged to know Lynne. XOXOXO... - Posted by: Connie Jones (Friend) on: Mar 17, 2012

  • Lynn was a very special lady & some of my fondest memories of working in Ashern include Lynn & Dave popping by Lakeshore Women's Resource Centre for coffee & chat! She loved her family & community dearly...my condolences to your family. - Posted by: Shaelynn Turman () on: Feb 23, 2012

  • Story. When Dave and Lynn lived in Moosehorn we went there for supper of sourkrout (don't no how to spell it). Dave ate so much of it. Lynn made it the way he liked it. Then he ate some more. Hour later all of us could see his belly getting bigger and bigger. You know it. It was working. He couldn't berp. Nothing. Yep. Lynn was a little worried. But he didn't explode. Lynn was an amazing canner. There was always enough food. Sherry, David and Billy our thoughts and prayers are with you. Think Lynn is cooking right now? And Dave making some mouse turd tea? We did laugh a lot didn't we? - Posted by: Ken and Jane Price (Friend) on: Feb 22, 2012
