Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • As we just celebrated Thanksgiving and ready ourselves for Christmas, our family's joy is tempered knowing our Precious Nan will no longer be seated at our table. Nan we miss you more than you could ever have imagined. You will never be far from our thoughts and Samantha and I will always ensure Noelle and her brother/sister will know everything about you. We Miss you so much but look forward to the day when we will celebrate at the same table again Loads of Love , Samantha, Noelle, Michael and Baby to be - Posted by: Michael Fuellbrandt (Grandson) on: Oct 16, 2012

  • The story about my Grandmother touched me. She definitely was the type of woman to worry more about others than herself. While she was going through her illness, she was more concerned about myself healing from a recent injury I had. She was an incredible woman and there's a massive void in our family with her departure, we will aim to fill that void with memories of her. The funeral was a great celebration of memories and stories from her loved ones and our family was fortunate to make the trip from Calgary to participate in it. Farewell Nan, you may be gone, but the memories remain! - Posted by: Steve Fuellbrandt (Grandson) on: Feb 28, 2012

  • During a recent pedestrian/vehicular accident in which I was the pedestrian, Violet made an effort to encourage me. She phoned me on 5 separate occasions to wish me well and to find out how I was feeling. I marvelled at this as her age was double mine. On her last phone call of approximately 2-3 weeks ago, she shared with me of her newly diagnosed illness. It was with deep sadness that I heard this news. Now I thought of how could I encourage her even in my weakened state. My only thought was to pray with her, which I did. We spent a few minutes praying together. She in essence said her "good byes" to me. My heart was heavy, and I have continued to pray for her that she not suffer or be in much pain. I am humbled by this lady and her compassion. She truly is a jewel. My memories of Violet will be one of great fondness. I especially appreciated her cheeky humour. Violet, you will be deeply missed and I look forward to the day when we will chat again in eternity. - Posted by: Roberta Scott-Herridge (Friend) on: Feb 23, 2012
