MARGARET ELIZABETH (BETTY) MCLEAN 1932 - 2012 Peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2012, following a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband Keith, daughters Linda (Shayne), Sandra (Dean), Janice (Dan) and son Brian. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, sister Pat Morrow, and brother Jim Briggs. Betty was born in Winnipeg and lived in Manitoba all her life. She started her career with the T. Eaton Co. and worked there for many years. In 1953, she met Keith and they married on October 21, 1955. After raising her family she resumed her career working at both the Board Office and Park Circle School in the Transcona-Springfield School Division. Betty was an artistic person who excelled at a range of crafts including sewing, knitting, and needle work. She was also passionate about cooking and enjoyed preparing meals for her family on special occasions and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed traveling, spending many enjoyable winters in Arizona. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Vista Park Lodge nursing home for their dedication and compassion. According to Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer's Society, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
