Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH BODNARCHUK 1926 - 2012 Joe the youngest and the last living child of 14 born to Wasyl and Pauline Bodnarchuk of Wynyard, SK passed away peacefully on March 1, 2012, at the age of 85. Joe joined the Armed forces one day after his 18th birthday and after discharge, he logged in Ontario and then usually worked with members of his family at various jobs across the prairies. He met Myrna (Campbell) in Saskatoon and with their two daughters moved to Winnipeg in 1963. Joe went back to school and after upgrading took the Electrical Course at Red River College. After graduating, Can Park hired him as their installer of equipment and their Lots Supervisor. For several years he managed the entire Hospital lots for the Health Sciences Centre. He did installations of equipment all over Canada and also managed lots for other companies. He finished his career with Mr. J. Dreman, maintaining his building and the Garry Parkade. Joe could fix or build anything, he was an accomplished card player and cook. His chicken wings and garlic spare ribs were famous 40 years ago. His greatest joy was family, and his best friends were family members. In 1988 a new joy and obsession came into his life, his first grandchild. The Urick boys and their hockey gave him a new passion for life. Joe is survived by his wife of 50 years, Myrna, his daughters Shelley (Randy) and Kathy, his beloved grandchildren, Scott (Kari) and Garett and Gabrielle and Jean-Luc. He will also be missed by a host of nieces and nephews, some of whom were like sisters and brothers to him. Grandpa you were our rock. Rest in peace. We will always love you. Many thanks to the Grace Hospital staff and Rev. M. Wilson. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service.
