Date of Passing: Jan 23, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT RICHARD WIEBE June 9, 1961 - January 23, 2012 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Wiebe; son, brother, uncle and friend. He slipped away peacefully at his residence and is survived by his father Dietrich; sister Bruni (Henry); brother Carl (Gisela), their families, and sister Frieda. He was predeceased by his mother Krimhilde in 2005. Rob loved to do jigsaw puzzles, play cards and video games, mow the lawn, and especially drive his motorboat at the lake. He was a member of W.A.S.O. and had just celebrated his 30th anniversary there in December 2011. He loved his work family and was loved by them in return. Gilia House (his home) was very special to him as well and he will be greatly missed by all. We, the family, appreciate everything everyone did to make his life so meaningful for all these years. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Robbie's life will be held at the McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Ave., on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. Donations to W.A.S.O. and L'Avenir (Gilia House), in lieu of flowers, would be much appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the church. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. - 338-0331 Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com

Dear Family, We were so shocked to read of the passing of Robbie. We have so many memories of him, of how he connected to our boys at the lake and indeed, of the many hours he could be seen driving his motorboat on the water, always wearing his bright orange life jacket. He really did love the lake and we appreciated his grass cutting abilities. Our condolences to each one of you.
