Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNHARD ANDREAS SCHOPOHL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bernhard Andreas Schopohl, who passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2012 - lovingly tended by his wife. Left to mourn his passing are wife Myrna, sons Andre, Rob (Lauralou), Derek (Shauna), daughter Katharina (Justin), and grandchildren Luke and Bianca. Bernie was predeceased by his parents and brothers Josef and Heinrich, and will be greatly missed by brother Anton; sisters Helene, Ursula, Elisabeth and Florentina, and his many nieces and nephews. Bernie was born in Lichtenau, Germany on February 4, 1934 and at the age of 22, he immigrated to Canada to follow his interest of carpentry and his love of the outdoors - fishing, gardening and camping. He worked in many places in Canada and settled in Winnipeg where he met Myrna. He enjoyed traveling and spending part of his winters in Arizona. His grandchildren meant the world to him, and he relished every moment he spent with them. His memory will be forever cherished. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. also in the church. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A charitable donation in his memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Myrna & Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. I always thought of Bernie as a very kind and gentle man with a good sense of humour. May many wonderful memories and the love and caring of family and friends be of comfort at this difficult time. Please know how much I care.
