MARGARET ELIZABETH STITT (nee MURRAY) August 26, 1932 - March 8, 2012 Peacefully Mom passed from the loving presence of her family into heaven's waiting arms at Middlechurch Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Mom grew up in rural Southern Ontario with her cherished younger brother Bill and had many happy memories of sitting, after school, in melon patches with spoon in hand, summer visits to Uncle Jack and Aunt Dell's in Moorefield and watching Bill play hockey. At 22, Mom followed her heart to a new life in Manitoba with the love of her life, James Beverly Stitt. Together they raised four children, Louise, Marlene, Valerie and Dwain. Mom was the anchor that was home , never judgmental, always patient, trusting her family to do what was best. She had a laugh that bubbled out of her like a gift she gave you each time. She overcame illness and hardship with such grace...and left a lesson of kindness and gentleness for all who knew her. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by family, holding a child or helping others in some way. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Jim in 2004. She leaves to mourn her children Louise, Marlene (Marston), Valerie (Ed), and Dwain, her many dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her brother, Bill (Olive) Murray and family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for the loving and compassionate care provided to Mom over the last nine years. A private family graveside service will be held at Roland Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. on March 16, 2012, in Roland, Manitoba, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory may be made to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg or a charity of your choice. MEMORIES LAST FOREVER.
