HENRY ALFRED LAGIMODIERE January 26, 1929 - March 13, 2012 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Henry Alfred Lagimodiere on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 age of 83 at The Victoria General Hospital. Henry is survived by his children Linda, Larry, Kim, Tracey, Darcey, his three grandchildren Melody (Leo), Derek, Lindsay and his three great-grandchildren Nyla, Eva and Damion. Also survived by his sisters, Helen, Lulu and Priscilla, nephew Terry (Val), daughter-in-law Lynette and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Verda, son Bob, son in law Ray, his parents, four brothers, faithful dog Charlie and numerous grandpets. Henry was raised in both Richer, MB and Fort Garry. He then met the love of his life, Verda and in 1950 they married and started their family of six children. He was a hard working pipe fitter and a proud member of Local 254 for over 50 years. We loved to hear his many and often funny stories of all his work experiences. We will never forget all the do it yourself knowledge he passed on to us. He knew how to fix just about anything. Dad was a long time member of The Fort Garry Legion #90 where he enjoyed playing pool with the old gang and meeting Mom for a beer after a round of golf at Carman Country Club where he was also a member for 30 years. Golf was his number one passion but he was very fond of bowling, shuffleboard, cards, Wii, scratch tickets and trips to the casino. He also took pleasure in his many activities with friends at his apartment block. Some of his favourite times were when the family got together for our regular card games or holiday dinners. Our Sunday afternoon visits were always filled with stories, laughter and more often than not a new song he had recorded in his studio. We will forever cherish those memories. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will occur at a later date. A celebration of Henry's life will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Fort Garry Legion #90, 1125 Pembina Highway. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0R3, or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. Heavens choir has one more singer. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
