BRIAN ALEXANDER EVERTS It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian Alexander Everts, loving husband and father and dearest friend. Brian passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on March 12, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his precious daughter Aleia, his beloved wife Angie and her family, mother Audrey Sigurdson, Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Bill Sherlock and their family and many dear friends, also Shadow and Murphy - his four legged friends. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Victoria Jason, his father Harry Everts, Grandmother and Grandfather Everts, Uncle Charlie Everts, Grandparents Glen and Nora Patterson and many beloved pets. Brian was born October 8, 1952 and lived in Winnipeg his entire life but travelled extensively. He was always looking forward to a new destination. Brian's positive attitude and great smile brought him many friends both at work and at home. He worked at C.N. Transcona, Symington Yards C.N. Station performing many duties. He retired in 2008 after lengthy service. Many thanks to the numerous Doctors and special Nurses that greeted him warmly, cared for and encouraged him in his battle with cancer. To the Palliative Home Care Team that made it possible for Brian to be where he wanted to be. Thank-you! You are very special people. Brian lived his dream and loved those who journeyed with him. To honour and celebrate Brian's life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. West. Thinking of you at this time. I was glad to have known Brian. He always had a smile on his face! I will always remember those Safeway kiddies Christmas parties with my children and Aleia. We didn't have a lot of time with Brian, but the time we spent with him were always great times. We will treasure all the time spent with him. Our last visit was with Brian, Angie and Aleia.
