Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLENY (LYNTJE) VAN DEN BROEK (nee DE REUS) Mom passed away at the Grace Hospice on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 after a dignified battle with cancer. She goes to join her husband Dick, of 45 years. Leny was also predeceased by four siblings and sons-in-law Kevin and Dennis. She leaves behind her children Janey, Harry (Sharon), Henny, Marian (Terry), Richard (Debbie), eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mom was born in Holland on January 29, 1927 to a family of eight of which three remain. Mom immigrated to Canada in 1953. Mom and Dad lived on Rossmere Road for 40 years, they also spent many years at Big Whitshell with all their Dutch friends. Mom spent many years at Kildonan United Church. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with interment to follow. Thanks to the staff at Grace Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion for Mom and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Cancer Canada, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3T 3R5.
