ANN ELIZABETH MACKLE Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, Ann passed away with her beloved husband Patrick by her side. Ann is survived by her loving husband Patrick, her son Greg, and her pride and joy her grandson Owen. She is also survived by her sister Bridie (Owen) McCaffrey, her brother Maurice Brennan, her brother-in-law Billy (Mona) Mackle and numerous nieces and nephews in Northern Ireland. Ann was predeceased by her infant son Ian, and her beloved daughter Joanne. Ann was born May 3, 1943 in Portadown, Northern Ireland. She married Patrick in 1964 and in 1969, they came with their young son Greg to Winnipeg where they made their home. A busy and devoted wife and mother Ann also had a very successful career as a legal secretary, retiring in 2008. Ann was warm and friendly with a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humour endearing her to many who were proud to call her their friend. Special thanks to Dr. Pat Harris and staff, CancerCare, Grace Hospital and Dr. J. Elkin for their excellent care and support over the years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster with Father Gerry Ward officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Ann, can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

  • I met Ann at Walsh Micay for a brief time in the mid 90's. More recently, Ann & I did work alongside each other from early 2000 to her retirement. There was not a better or more supportive person than Ann. She either lent you a shoulder or had you in stitches with her "Irish" and other stories.
