MARY NEHE (nee DRIEDGER) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Nehe, aged 94 years on March 13, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness. Mary was predeceased by her husband Ted after 45 years of marriage; also by her sisters Margaret, Agatha, Helen and brothers Abe, David and Ben. She is survived by her sons Victor (Fern) and Paul as well as grandchildren Sherri (Wayne) and Jeffrey and her great-grandson Maxim. She is also survived by her one remaining sister Annie. Mary enjoyed good health all of her life and lovingly cared for her family. Her passions were music, dancing, and reading literature. She took great pleasure in playing the accordion and keyboard. She volunteered her service to the community in many ways by assisting children with reading difficulties within the public school system, canvassing for the March of Dimes and United Way and supporting many charities. In her early years she taught in a one-room country school prior to her marriage. Her love of children extended throughout her life. She enjoyed the last year of life at Beacon Hill Lodge where she made many new friends. We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for the love and excellent care they provided for mom. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. with Pastor Paul Brown officiating. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
