  • We loved Uncle Albert very much and are deeply saddened by his passing. We have many wonderful memories of Uncle Al from all of the hunting Frank has done with Al and most recent our son Brent went goose hunting with his favorite uncle and his dad, something he had on his life list. Uncle Albert and Pat began a close relationship during the many walks they shared in the neighbourhood and then participated in many MS walks. Always loving, kind, full of jokes and lots of laughs, he will be remembered for. Frank has fond memories of all of the trips Uncle and Auntie made to the farm and there first stop was to see his dear brother in law and friend Paul Bencharski. Our family will toast you today Uncle Al with your favorite drink Barclays Brandy. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Frank & Pat Bencharski (Uncle) on: Mar 22, 2012

  • Chris and I are saddened to hear about the passing of Uncle Albert. He was a wonderful uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. We always enjoyed visiting Uncle Albert and Auntie Stella whenever we could make it to Winnipeg. Uncle Albert had many stories to tell and his good sense of humour kept us interested. One pleasant memory of ours with Uncle Albert is when we visited him one summer and had a cruise on the Paddle Queen boat down the Red River with Uncle Albert, Auntie Stella and Bryan who was still very young at the time. He will always be remembered as a fun-loving, kind and caring uncle who was always happy to see us. • Uncle Albert was truly a wonderful and loving Uncle, husband, father, grandfather. The fondest memories for me was when Uncle Albert, Auntie Stella and Bryan would come visit us on the farm every summer. Uncle Albert was not only a relative but a great friend to my dad (Paul Bencharski). He was very loving to all of our family and always had a warm smile, hug/kiss or handshake. I was happy to be part of his 90th birthday celebration last September, and he will always have a warm place in my heart. Until we meet again in Heaven... I love you Uncle Albert. - Posted by: Joanne Ogilvie (Uncle) on: Mar 20, 2012

  • Uncle Albert was a favorite uncle. He was always joking with eveyone of us and many laughs were shared. I remember when I first came to Winnipeg, uncle Albert and Auntie Stella took me in until I got a place of my own. Uncle Albert treated me like a son. I am very grateful to him and Auntie Stella for the pleasant memories we shared at his cabin. We will miss you Uncle Albert: may you rest in peace. - Posted by: Chris Bencharski (nephew) on: Mar 20, 2012

  • Uncle Albert was the best uncle anyone could have. He was full of life, love and laughter. From the time I was a year old and could run to his and Auntie Stella's house, I knew it was a place where I was loved and spoiled - well just a bit. Some of my fondest memories as a young person are of time spent camping up at Rainbow Falls; at Grand Beach jumping off his shoulders with my sisters until Uncle Albert couldn't stand the pain anymore; or, family get togethers where the country music was blaring and we were dancing to " I walk the line". As an adult, my time was spent going for breakfast - always a favourite of Uncle Alberts - or playing 31 with he and Auntie Stella at their house where we were told the same wonderful stories and jokes with the same feeling and enthusiasm as if they were being told for the first time. Uncle Albert always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. While he was a fabulous Uncle, he was an amazing husband to Auntie Stella who was the love of his life. He was also an amazing father to Bryan who he was very proud of and a loving grandfather to Justine and Christopher. Uncle Albert always said he was lucky to be part of the Bencharski family but I think we were lucky to have him. David and I will miss you terribly but will always have fond memories of the time we spent with you. - Posted by: Theresa Murray (Uncle) on: Mar 19, 2012
