EMILIE (ANN) MANZER (nee Mc DUNNOUGH) With family and friends at her side, Ann Manzer passed away at the Grace Hospice on March 16, 2012 at the age of 72. She was born July 31, 1939 in Montreal and grew up in Trois-Rivieres. Later she moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Michael Manzer April 18, 1964. There she started a family and continued to make her home for the rest of her life. Ann is survived by her husband Michael; children Glen (Erin), Lisa (Tony); grandchildren Copelan and Kylie; brothers Ralph (Christiane), Peter (June), Phillip (Dan Phatie) and nieces. She worked for Sun Life, Centra Gas and retired after working for Manitoba Hydro. Ann's personality when you met her made you glad to call her a friend for life, with her big bold smile always leaving a cheerful impression. She especially enjoyed camping in her trailers at the beach and dearly loved the cabin that was finally bought in Grand Marais. Anytime she was there, when asked, she always responded with I'd like to stay till Tuesday. As per Ann's wishes cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. An open house Celebration of her Life will be held in her home, 837 Parkdale Street, between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on March 22, 2012. Thank you to the many friends who provided heartfelt visits, well wishes, prayers and support over the past years. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
