A. BERYL RUSE (GOODMAN) (nee PATTESON) 1923 - 2012 Peacefully, on March 17, Beryl passed away at Oakview Place. Beryl was predeceased by her parents Harry and Jean Patteson, brother Jack in the Second World War, husband Bob Goodman, brothers-in law Bob McLean, Phil Petursson and Alan Whiteside. Left to remember Beryl is her husband Don Ruse, sister Shirley McLean, in-laws Elmer and Joyce Goodman, Lillian Whiteside, Helen Petursson and Jon and Gail Goodman. She also leaves a large extended family and many friends. Beryl's interests were many and varied. She was an active member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. For many years she volunteered at the Christmas Cheer Board, with Meals on Wheel and at the Icelandic Pavilion during Folklorama. She was a Ladies Past Present and Honorary life member at Breezy Bend Country Club and was a member at the Grain Exchange Curling Club. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
