Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • What a wonderful Christian couple you were to grow up with. My memories are so strong of the love and devotion you gave so freely to all us kids and families on the block. As we became parents ourselves the love continued to our children. Elmer is with the Lord and we celebrate but know that you will miss him. Praying for blessings and strength Ruth for your days ahead. Much love, Kim (Unrau) Peters, Mary and families - Posted by: Kim Peters (friend) on: Mar 28, 2012

  • My mother, Ardyth (McMillan) Robinson was very fond of her cousin, Elmer, and his wife, Ruth. One time in the 1990s Elmer met my mother, who lived in Victoria, at the Winnipeg airport and helped her make the right connection to her next destination after a little visit. This assistance was greatly appreciated by my sister and me. - Posted by: Jeanne Robinson (Clogg) ((Elmer was my mother's first cousin)) on: Mar 26, 2012

  • Elmer was a joy to know. He was the epitomy of generosity and a real sweetheart. We will truly miss him. It was commonplace for him to mark special occasions with a lovely card containing warm greetings and a gift of money. - Posted by: Enid McMillan (my husband's cousin) on: Mar 26, 2012

  • Elmer was a true gentleman. My wife and I will always treasure the week Elmer and Ruth spent visiting us in San Diego CA. They were a joy to host for this short time. Every Christmas thereafter was not complete until we had received a call from Elmer, or he had left us a lovely cheerful message on the answering machine. He will be missed. - Posted by: Graham McMillan (Elmer is my father's first cousin) on: Mar 25, 2012

  • Elmer was always such a gracious and friendly person to meet around town. His ready smile and gentle manner always made a day when I ran into him a special one. He will be truly missed and fondly remembered. - Posted by: Larry Gregan (Friend, fellow parishoner at Elim Chapel) on: Mar 25, 2012
