MAE GAUTHIER (nee ANDERSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mae Gauthier with her family by her side on March 21, 2012 at the age of 89 years old. Mom will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children Emily Paille (Guy), Lawrence (Lorraine), Gerald (Jo-Ann), Elaine Kirkness (Chris), son-in-law Claude Vallieres, daughter-in-law Gisele Gauthier. Brother Bill Anderson, sister Loreen (Mike) Mitchello, 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Mom was predeceased by her husband Leo, daughter Alice Vallieres, sons George and Gilbert, granddaughter Marci Cutting, great-grandson Christopher Paille, parents Barney and Katherine, numerous family members and friends. Mom was born in High Bluff, Manitoba. She married Leo in 1942 and they settled in Ste. Genevieve, Manitoba and raised their family. Mom loved and cherished her family. Viewing will be on Tuesday, March 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, 1 Green Acres Lane (Highway #1 East). Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March. 28 at St. Anne Roman Catholic Parish with Father Gabrielle Leveque officiating. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Bissonnette for his years of care and Dr. De Moissac, Dr. Pelltier, the nursing staff and healthcare aides for all of the care they provided to Mom. Also sincere thanks to Sr. Rioux for her daily visits. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the CancerCare Society of Manitoba in Mom's memory.
