Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE LINDGREN August 15, 1924 - March 21, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce Anne's passing. Predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ralph in 2001, Anne leaves to mourn her brother Slaw (Mary), friends, family and many nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Shorncliffe, Manitoba then moving to Winnipeg as a young adult. There she met her husband Ralph and they headed west to Vancouver where they opened and ran a highly successful car dealership until they retired in 1984. Anne and Ralph loved to travel and had many an adventure exploring new sites. They had many a great time in their various motor homes which included trips down south and across Canada. Although they never had children, their love for pets was evident in Dino, Tequila and Corky. The family wishes to thank the ladies who provided home care for Anne whose wishes to live out her life at home were fulfilled. A Funeral Service will take place Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Entombment to follow. Although I knew Anne for a short time, I have pleasant memories of her. I remember her coming to clean her apartment before moving in. It was a pleasure for her. She really looked forward to moving in this bldg. with all our neighbours. It was a pleasure walking into the bldg. and finding Anne sitting on the chair in the lobby, greeting everyone. Though she was confined to her apt. for the last little while, we will all truly miss her. Lenore - Posted by: Lenore Kagan (Neighbour) on: Mar 27, 2012

Message for Slaw, Jimmy and family: Doug and I remember with fondness the times spent together in Vancouver with Aunty Anne and Uncle Ralph. Her Perogies were second to none - really all of her meals were a total treat. While I'm not sure about 'the afterlife', I'd like to imagine that Aunty Anne and Uncle Ralph are reunited .... dancing and laughing as they did throughout life. I picture Uncle Ralph in his white suit, and Aunty Anne beside him - dressed "to the nines" with beautiful shoes on. She always had such beautiful shoes!! Sending wishes of love and strength at this time. Warmly, Sharon Lindgren-Hewlett, Doug and Thomas - Posted by: Sharon Lindgren-Hewlett (niece) on: Mar 25, 2012
