Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST DANIEL SMITH July 16, 1925 - March 23, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ernest D. Smith on March 23, 2012, at the age of 86 years old. He will be deeply missed by his wife Mary of 57 years, Daniel C. (son), Donna M. (daughter) and Alexandra M. (granddaughter). He was born in Minneapolis, St. Paul. U.S.A but raised in Moosehorn, Manitoba, and Grahamdale, Manitoba. Ernest worked for Armco Steel Drainage Com. for 32 years and retired in 1977. He and Mary travelled Manitoba for many years and loved time spent at Patricia Beach. He also enjoyed many hours with his hobby trains and other hobbies. In keeping with Ernest's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for family celebrating his life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 28 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at 1 Green Acres Lane (Highway #1 East). A heart felt thank you to Dr. Thomas and the Concordia Hospital Staff of N1 South. In lieu of flowers, donations to Prostate Cancer would be appreciated.
