  • We will miss Norm's wonderful smile and great sense of humour. We will miss you. - Posted by: Doug and Nina () on: Mar 29, 2012

  • Our sincere condolences to Lynn and family. I am so sad to hear of Norm's passing. I always admired his dedication and devotion he showed to his wife as he lent a hand to her and her "craft" friends any way he could. His talents were many and included turn table making, patio stone holder making and of course cranking up the BBQ for our July Stained Glass/Birthday Gathering. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. - Posted by: Cheryl & Rick Collins (friends) on: Mar 28, 2012

  • I am saddened to read this notice. Norm and I shared a room at HSC this past summer. He made my stay pleasant as we shared many laughs. Norm was a delight, with a wonderful sense of humour. Lynne, cherish the memories. I will hold tight to the 'guardian angel' gift from you and Norm. Unfortunately I have a treatment at the time of the funeral. My thoughts are with you and your family. • I would imagine if you were to move into a new neighborhood and meet Norm you would appreciate the kind and helpful person he was to us. Norm was always there to say a few encouraging words and perhaps give his opinion on how things should be done. We will miss his wit and smile that greeted you everyday. He was a great person, a close friend and a gentleman. We will always remember you. - Posted by: Lynda, Conrad, Scott and Jamie Rear (Friends) on: Mar 27, 2012

  • I count my blessings that I was able to join such a great family when I met Trevor. Norm was always quick to give me a hard time, and even quicker to offer me a refreshment. What amazed me though is what an exceptional grandpa Norm was. Whether it was letting Sara do his "hair" with her new Barbie curler, or trying to grab the kids with a roar as they tried to breeze past him in his favourite chair - he was always up for anything with them. More often than not I was telling him to settle down, not the kids. Love you Grandpa Norm! - Posted by: Dian Greaves (Daughter-in-law) on: Mar 27, 2012

  • RIP Norman, I knew Norman through his wife Lynn from the Race track. My condolences, may you feel comfort in your memories. - Posted by: Charlene Cochrane (acquaintance) on: Mar 27, 2012

  • Norm was a great friend of my parents (Bud & Sheila Brodie). I have many great memories of him while growing up on Princeton Blvd. He was a wonderful man who was always friendly and had a smile on his face for one of the many little kids on the street. He was often over visiting my Dad and my brothers and was always a favourite in our home! Thinking of you Lynn, Glenn and Trevor. - Posted by: Diane Brodie (Friend ) on: Mar 27, 2012

  • It is with great sadness that I read of Norm's passing. He played a very important part in teaching me to be a decent human being, and I will remember him with fondness. My heart goes out to his family. Cherish the memories of this wonderful man. - Posted by: Glen Brodie (Friend) on: Mar 27, 2012
