Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRACE IRENE KILGOUR (MAGNUSSON) 1927-2012 In the quiet hours of the afternoon, Grace, (Aunty Grace) passed away on March 26, 2012 at the age of 84 years young. Grace was born in Riverton, MB on December 13, 1927 and raised in Gimli. She was the oldest of her four siblings. Left to remember Grace is her husband Arthur, brother Ralph (Connie), Nephew Campbell (Vikki), Nieces Debbie (Merle), Diane, Tara (Dale), Tami (Gord), Valerie (Rob), Jo-Ann (Adrian), Marilyn (Jeff), Laurel (Melvin) and families. Grace was predeceased by her parents, Haraldur and Ingibjorg Magnusson, sisters Marjorie Alexander and Vivienne Jakobson. Family was everything to Grace. She had a heart of gold which she shared with her immediate family. Aunty Grace will be remembered as having cultivated such valued lessons, as knowing when to come in and out of the rain, why the early bird catches the worm and that life isn't always fair. She believed in simple sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn). We love you and will miss you. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Gimli Lutheran Church, 52 Third Avenue in Gimli, MB. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Gimli Humane Society, 33 Harvard Avenue, Gimli Industrial Park, P.O. Box 1999, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0. I have a million memories that include Grace (and Art). During my growing years in Thunder Bay and later in Winnipeg, they were frequent visitors to the Falkiner home for supper, cards and a social evening. She and Art accompanied our family on numerous weekend drives to explore and picnic in the surrounding district outside TB. I road in the back seat of their black car (was the upholstery red?) often with a friend on many trips. I will always remember Grace as being the one to inadvertently "spilling the beans" about my having pierced my own ears at the age of 14?. She was fun, loving, and a very classy lady. My heart goes out to Art, and her extended family. - Posted by: Trish Falkiner Kelly (friend) on: Mar 31, 2012

Dear Art and Family; We are so very sorry to learn of Grace's passing. We have wonderful memories of great family time spent together while living in Fort William and Port Arthur (later called Thunder Bay) - the Sunday outings exploring the wilderness, the occasional high-drama car rides (due to malfunctions), the Newcomers' Club Dances and the parties at my parents' home. She was a wonderful hostess and you both made us feel so welcome when we visited. Grace's sense of style will be long-remembered and I know she would get a kick out of Trish looking just like her in her 50's! I will always remember the one Icelandic festival weekend on the Monday when at the park, our reeve at the time came to the ceremonies wearing a pair of shorts bearing the Canadian flag, she told him, we have dignitaries here from Iceland, she told him you go home and change right now. Sure enough, he came back dressed accordingly. She always had a way with words and told it like it was. Wonderful lady who will be missed dearly. My condolences to Art and family during this very sad time. I`ll miss you. - Posted by: Brad Suchy (friend) on: Mar 29, 2012
