Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE LITTLE May 14, 1917 - March 23, 2012 After a massive stroke seven weeks ago, Irene went to join her beloved husband John and son Terry. She leaves behind to mourn, her daughter Lesley (Glenn), grandchildren Andrea (Mike), Jeff (Julia), great-grandchildren Katie, Hannah, Melody and Nathan, brothers John and Eddie, and many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by siblings Alfred, Victor, Peter, Joe, Helen, Carrie, Mary and Alice. Irene spent her early years around Beausejour but moved to the city when she was 18. Irene lived in Winnipeg most of her life, but moved to Surrey, BC four years ago. She enjoyed so many things in life, she loved to do needlework and gave most relatives and friends finished pieces of her work, she was an expert pie maker, loved her cottage at the lake (where she and John entertained many friends), and was a devoted grandmother. After Irene retired, she travelled as often as she could, both in Canada and abroad. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Aunty Irene you will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing you. Growing up with you and Uncle John across the street was a wonderful experience. The family dinners, holiday get togethers, hot sunny days at the cottages, fishing derbys, blueberry picking, pie eating, garage saling are just a few of my favourite memories of our shared lives. Thanks for always being there for us. All my love PEGGY WOOOOOO !!! - Posted by: Jim & Peg Brownie (Niece) on: Apr 02, 2012
