LAWRENCE JACKSON Peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012, with his wife by his side, Lawrence passed away after a short battle with cancer. Lawrence leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Susan; his four beloved children, Sarah (Trevor), Amanda (Braden), Elizabeth (Josh), Steven, and his favourite little man, Parker. Lawrence was predeceased by his father Harvey, sisters Anne, Valerie, Mavis, and brothers-in-law, Glen, Ernest, and Alvin. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother Doris and siblings, Barbara, Brenda, Murray, Dennis, Greg, Ken, Sheila, and Sharon, their spouses and families. He will also be lovingly remembered by his mother and father-in-law, Roy and Deidre Brown, and Susan's siblings, Claire, Gillian, Richard, and Jeremy. Lawrence was born and raised in Flin Flon Manitoba, where he met his wife Susan at the young age of 11. Lawrence and Susan were married in 1981, and settled in Winnipeg where they raised their four children. Lawrence was employed at Tereck Diesel for 26 years, where he was able to count his co-workers as some of his closest friends. He was happiest spending his time with his family playing games and sharing a good laugh. He most enjoyed going somewhere warm in the winter and spending his summers at Lilac Resort where good times were always had. In lieu of flowers, a donation to CancerCare Manitoba or the Dream Factory would be gratefully accepted. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Reception to follow.
