NANCY WOODS (nee DONALDSON) Peacefully on April 2, 2012, Nancy passed away at the age of 89 years. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Donna (John); sons Ted (Nancy) and Randy (Donna); grandchildren Marcy (Bryce), Brandon, Leanne and Ben and great-granddaughter Raelyn, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ted in 1995, as well as her parents, four brothers and infant sister. Mom was born in Winnipeg on July 1, 1922 and was always proud to have been born on Canada Day. She was working at National Grain when she met Ted, the love of her life. They were married six months later on August 16, 1947. Mom devoted her life to being the best mother ever. She had a big heart and always put her family first. We are happy for you, mom, as you are now with our dad. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Flowers are gratefully declined. In Nancy's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Dear Woods Family, We were very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. In the short time we were neighbours with Ted and Nancy we became very fond of them as they were young at heart and always had a smile. We feel very privileged to have got to know them.
