Also remember Ken who was in my class. Sorry for your loss mate. - Posted by: Keith Lewis (Former student at St Francis College ) on: Feb 21, 2016

  • I came across this when looking for St Francis. I remember your mother and father clearly. They were excellent teachers and I remember those French and history lessons. I was at St. Francis from 1964 to 66 and often think of those days. I remember you, Ken. Hope you are well. Again my sorrow at your Mum's passing. She was a great lady and had a great impact on me, which I have never forgotten. Ian - Posted by: Ian Macdougald () on: Jul 10, 2014

  • Hi Ken and family of Jacqueline, Just want to add my condolences here when I heard of your mum's passing on. It was my privilege to be her only music student (I think!) at St. Francis College. It was through her I was introduced to Tchaikowsky's 1812 Overture which I was thrilled to hear back in 1960 (?) and I continue to remember your folks when I hear the piece played. She also tutored me informally in French, which gave me the incentive to learn the language in depth later in my studies at St. Aidan's College in Grahamstown South Africa, which was run by the Jesuits. I left SFC at the end of 1962. I remember you, Ken, as a little chappie who gave your folks a challenging time as you didn't seem to like the mission field, and I completely understand why! LOL Anyhow, your mum nurtured me and thru her playing, inspired me to always continue to get pleasure from my God given gift which I am enjoying up to this day. She was most certainly one of the company of outstanding and truly impressive people I have met in my walk thru life. Am glad to know I will have time in eternity to share our mutual love of music and to meet her and your Dad again in the heavenly realms....... Lastly, do please feel free to publish my sfckitwe@gmail.com to my former classmates and friends from back in the day! with much love, and hoping this message gets posted,...... Leonard. - Posted by: Leonard Richard Seegers (ex music student of Jacqueline at St.Francis College. Kitwe Zambia) on: May 20, 2014

  • Ken, I have just found this entry. Please accept my sincere condolences as late as they are. Sorry to have lost touch. I will always remember your Mum's sense of humour and her passion for her subject. - Posted by: Brendan G-B (A former student of Mrs Woodley and classmate of Ken's in Zambia) on: Nov 08, 2013

  • Ken and Judi, your mom and dad will always be well remembered by a motley group of former students from St. Francis College in Zambia. She was a very strong and passionate woman and, after I made contact with her in Canada in 2001, she always asked after "her boys". Here, in South Africa, we had a mini-reunion of old Saints recently and, again, your parents were fondly remembered. • I just heard of Jackie's death yesterday. I am sorry I didn't know or I would have attended the funeral. I have informed my brother-in-law Leo Prendergast. I will send him a copy of the obituary. Please accept our condolences. If you and Judy get this message please email me and we will catch up. Peggy - Posted by: Peggy Prendergast (Wife of a former cousing of Jackie) on: Apr 24, 2012

  • I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I have often thought of her kindness and that of her mother Mme Gagnon to whom I used to deliver the newspaper on Dallard. Ken, if you get this message, please get in touch. I have no idea where you are. It's been many years! - Posted by: Paul DeGagne (friend of Ken) on: Apr 23, 2012
