Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL N. SEDDON It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in her 103rd year. Hazel will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Maxine (Gene) Kovach of Winnipeg, grandchildren Steve (Debbie) of Winnipeg, David (Kelly) and Karen (Tanasut) Rasmidatta, both of Vancouver, daughter-in-law Roberta of Brantford, ON, and grandchildren Sandra (Don) of Cambridge ON, Denise (Phil) Daniels of Paris, ON, Kathy (George) Penczak of Brantford, ON, together with numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Ernest in 1986 and by her son Ronald in 2004. She was born in Lewisham, ON in 1909, the last of 14 siblings. Her early years were spent in Wingham, ON where she met and married Ernest, followed by a move to Windsor, ON during the war years where she proudly assisted the war effort as a welder of truck bodies, etc., while Ernie helped produce communication equipment. Post war, they managed a hardware store in Agincourt (Toronto) ON, and eventually retired in Keswick (Lake Simcoe) ON, and then Brantford, ON. In 2005, Hazel moved to Winnipeg. Apart from enjoying frequent visits from her extended family, Mom loved to knit and crochet, was an accomplished cook, and loved curling and fishing, particularly at the family cottage on Lake Scugog, ON. A celebration of Hazel's life will be held at a later date in southern Ontario, and her ashes will be interred in Wingham, ON. Hazel was always appreciative of the cuisine and attentive, thoughtful care she received at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home, for which the family is also grateful.
