FLORENCE FOWLER (nee VALGARDSON) 1925 - 2012 Florence passed away peacefully on April 3, 2012 at the Gimli Hospital. Florence was married to Jack Fowler who served in the R.C.A.F. Jack was born in Boston, MA, hence the nickname Boston . As an Air Force couple, he and Florence did a lot of travelling. They were posted to Gimli, Saskatchewan and Ottawa. They were then sent to Sardinia in the Mediterranean, to mention only one of many postings. They returned to Canada, and after a time, Jack retired from the service. They then moved back to Florence's home town of Gimli. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Jack; by an infant son; by her brothers, Earl, Allan, Dempsey, and by sisters-in-law, Rae and Pearl. She is survived by her brothers, Zeke (June), Jack (Dodo), Norman (Dodi), and by her sister, Marion (Colin), as well as many nieces and nephews. Our family will miss our special sister very much. A family service will be held at a later date at the Gimli Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Jack. Goda Nott dear Florence, God Bless. Rest in Peace.
