JULIA HARDER The family of Julia Harder is saddened to announce her passing on April 7, 2012. She will be remembered by her children Angela, Linnea (Craig), Greg (Lindsey), James (Laura) and Charles (Kelly), granddaughters Cailyn, Nicole and Sophie, and many more close family and friends. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Bert Harder. Julia was born on February 7, 1943 in Fisher Branch and married Bert on June 4, 1966. They eventually settled in Landmark to raise their five loving children. Mom loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Mom was happiest making Ukrainian feasts for family and friends, especially for Christmas and Easter holidays. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family at Big Whiteshell Lake, which were some of her children's fondest memories growing up. A favourite part of mom's day was mornings with her local coffee group, sharing stories of each other's families. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff of Carman Hospital and Ste. Annes Hospital, especially Dr. Nadine Chatel and Dr. Navaratnam from the CancerCare program at H.S.C. for their caring support. A special tribute is extended to the wonderful driving service provided by the Masonic Lodge of M.B. A private family service will be held on April 12, 2012 to honour her memory and celebrate her life. As a symbol of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Julia Harder to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. My deepest sympathies to the Harder/Mankewich families. I have many fond memories of Julie, when she and her family would go out to Dallas for holidays and during the summer. My thoughts are with you all. - Posted by: Maureen Rushton (Mankewich) () on: Apr 11, 2012
