GARRY A. KNOLL At the age of 66, after a long battle with Waldenstrom's, Garry Knoll passed away on April 10, 2012. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Christine, daughter Dana and son-in-law Colin. Garry is also survived by his mother Dorothy, brother Robert, and sister Barbara. Garry was born and raised in the North End. He earned his BSc in Civil Engineering in 1970, and spent most of his career at the City of Winnipeg. Garry married Christine in 1981 and they had Dana in 1983. Together they enjoyed many winter vacations, outdoor activities, and time at the cottage. Garry loved working on his cars, trucks and motorcycles modifying them for better performance. He had the amazing ability to fix almost anything, and spent many hours just tinkering and inventing new gizmos and things that went boom. He was also an avid motorcyclist and loved his Harley. Garry was always up for listening to loud rock and roll, sitting around a fire, and of course, drinking beer. As per Garry's wishes, there will be no formal service. A casual gathering for family and friends will be held. If friends desire, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, P.O. Box 2248, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4A6.
