Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I will very much miss Ralph, as I attended St. James Anglican Church for 25 years when I lived in Winnipeg. In going back to visit family, we would always see Ralph, either in church or at Lions Manor where John's mom & dad lived for a few years. We would see Ralph these last few years (when visiting our mom and dad) and take him out for a bite to eat. He was the kindest most gentle soul. The last time we saw Ralph was when our mother finally passed away this past January at Lions Manor. He is in heaven, for sure! - Posted by: Marlene Loewen (friend) on: Apr 25, 2012

  • I remember Ralph from when I was a child growing up at St. Matthew's Church. Ralph was always very kind to me and my siblings. It was great to reconnect with him two years ago when my Aunt was in Lion's Manor in the final stages of her life. The most impressive memory I have is sitting around a table in Lincoln, UK last summer with a group of people from Winnipeg and Ralph's name came up and most people knew him from different stages of his life, and everyone's memory was positive. For such a humble soul to touch so many people is remarkable. - Posted by: Allan S. (friend) on: Apr 20, 2012

  • Ralph, you will be sadly missed. You were a kind and decent man. I always enjoyed our talks. GOD bless. - Posted by: Robert () on: Apr 19, 2012

  • Dear Ralph, you were one of the politest, sincerest people that I met in Canada. Everyday, by saying hi, you made my day bright. I wish I could do something for you to make you happy. You are always in my heart and will be grandly missed by all. - Posted by: Shookoo (friend) on: Apr 18, 2012

  • Ralph, I will never forget your kindness to me and my granddaughter, Manjeet. Thanks. It was also nice meeting you on the bus at times. - Posted by: Joanne J. (friend) on: Apr 17, 2012

  • Ralph was very active in The St. James Anglican Church until he became ill a few years ago. Ralph and I shared many Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving dinners together as we were usually alone otherwise. Ralph was always gracious, generous and did everything that he could to help the church. After illness prvented him from going to church, he remained on the church's long term prayer list and his presence was missed by the congregation. I can only think of kind thought and happy times when I reflect on my brief time as Ralph's friend. - Posted by: Kathleen (Friend) on: Apr 16, 2012

  • Ralph was a sweet and gentle man, touching everyone he met...his kindness will be missed in our world. - Posted by: pat (friend) on: Apr 15, 2012
