Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSA A. MACPHERSON Elsa Adelheid Macpherson passed away peacefully at Concordia Place on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Elsa was predeceased by her husband, Ian James Macpherson, her parents John and Barbara Both, sister Mary Gessie, brothers Arthur and Carl, and nephew Leonard Gessie. She is survived by two sisters, Lillian Baessler and Ruth Giesbrecht, numerous nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and a host of friends. Elsa was born in Lipton, Saskatchewan, July 19, 1918 and moved to Winnipeg with her family at a young age. She attended Dominion Federal Business College and was employed as a secretary with the Federal Government from 1943 to 1955 and then the City of Winnipeg Clerks Office to her retirement in 1983. She was a devoted volunteer at her church and enjoyed many hobbies, many of which showed her artistic talent. She liked to travel and visit family and friends in far off places. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Crescent with Pastor Thomas Lurvey officiating. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to the staff at Concordia Place, members and Pastor of Sherwood Park Lutheran Church and her many friends and relatives for their kindness and care.
