• I Just found out about Gisele's passing today and I find words hard to come by. I met Gisele while staying with my Mom at Riverview and I cherish the time we had together. I will always remember Gisele outside waving to me as she'd say Debbie my friend come sit down and talk. There's not enough good to say about Gisele and her Wonderful family. They will stay in my heart forever, though I know her family suffers terribly at this time. I know Gisele is at Peace now and I will never forget you my Dear Friend. • I met Giselle while my gramma was in river view. My gramma passed away in 2010. My mom was also a great friend of hers while she visited her mom. While I have only met her a few times she was so full of life and love to tell her life story in hopes that it would change the people she had met. • Gisele and I never met in person. I am a friend of Gisele's who lives in Townsville Australia. We corresponded by e-mail in recent years, and she kindly sent me a copy of "Strolling Down Heaven's Gate," which she inscribed "To Michael, my new dear friend". I have just found out that she has passed away. I had accepted a poem of hers in March for my on-line journal, and it will be published on July 4, 2012 at 7 pm Pacific Daylight Time. If the family wish me to provide copies of our e-mail correspondence, I will be happy to do so. Rest In Peace Gisele. • I felt a strong connection to this incredible lady the moment I met her over 20 years ago. I would often stroll down the back lane for coffee and we quickly became friends. We seemed to find humour in the everyday and ordinary events that happened in our neighbourhood. This led to co-writing a column that appeared in the Riverview Reflector called "Coffee Klatch". We would laugh until we cried. Although our family left Winnipeg in 1999, we have always remained in touch. Gisele will forever remain in my heart. • I met Gisele in 1970, as a feisty and smart teenager. She always knew what she wanted in life and she lived life to the fullest. • Gisele and I spent our entire primary and secondary school life together at Ecole Precieux Sang. We were best of friends for years. Our lives separated in adulthood only connecting once in the last 20 years. However, she remained dear and special to me all my life; I never forgot her and thought of her often...each and every birthday as our birth dates are close and we are the same age.
