Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRITA LILLIAN STARK (nee CLAVET) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rita Lillian Stark on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Maples Personal Care Home. Left to forever cherish Rita's memory are her son Lance (Helen); daughters Heather (Andy), Penny (Garth), Tannis (Leland); sisters Ruth and Betty; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Fred; mother Nell; father Wilfred, and brother Wilf. Rita was born November 6, 1919, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She married Fred and for many years lived in Winnipeg, where she worked as a seamstress for most of her time. Nan was well known for her sewing skills and could always be counted on for last minute costumes, outfits and alterations. She enjoyed crocheting, especially for all the new little additions to the family and was an excellent baker, famous for her Christmas goodies. Rita had a great love for her family and looked forward to the many family gatherings. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a very important part of her life and she always looked forward to visits with them, and attending many of their special events. Nan always made a point of keeping in touch with her family on a regular basis and many of us will miss these daily calls. On Friday, April 27, 2012 Rita's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for their support and excellent care during her time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita's memory to a charity of your choice.

My sincere condolences to all of Rita's family on her passing. She was a kind soul. I know she will be missed dearly by you all. Our father always spoke fondly of Aunt Rita, I know he loved Rita a great deal and he was happy he saw her one last time, though he was a little sad that he hadn't seen more of Aunt Rita over the years.
