Condolences & Memories (13 entries)

  • Dear Judy, I send you deep sympathy as you try to deal with the shock of this sudden death of your husband. I didn't know Bruce but I did speak to him on the telephone...a very gentle soul. I've only begun to know you but I'm thinking of you. Go gently. Susan - Posted by: Susan Edmond (Friend/Social Worker) on: May 11, 2012

  • Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and Barry, Josie, Shirley and Ilene. Thinking of you at this difficult time. Rita & Brian Boyd - Posted by: Rita Boyd (friends from Chailey) on: May 07, 2012

  • Bruce was the community inspiration and showed us that we could all go further. Very few had the 4-H experience when Bruce pioneered it for both the young and the old in the community of Chailey. We have followed his trails ever since his graduation from Mannville and the numerous achievments that followed. My sympathy to all the family. - Posted by: Bonny Coulter Hamm (Glen Coulter's daughter-friend of the family) on: May 05, 2012

  • I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with all of you. - Posted by: Jennifer (Stewart) Heppner (Figure Skating days with Jane and Mary Ellen) on: May 04, 2012

  • Judy, I know that my mom is with you in spirit at this difficult time. Deepest condolences to you and the whole family from both Nick and I. - Posted by: Maureen (Gannon) Fergus () on: May 03, 2012

  • Sending all of you my deepest sympathy. It was wonderful spending time talking over breakfast with Bruce and Judy the weekend my sister, Carrie got married and again to see you and Ruth and Mary Ellen at the family reunion. Of course, I will never forget when all of us vacationed at the resort in Canada years ago. Too bad the pool was closed when we were there. With sympathy, Ann Flynn Martin - Posted by: Ann Flynn Martin (family) on: May 02, 2012

  • Such a shock to all. Please know that all of the family are in our thoughts and prayers. As neighbours you became models for us to emulate as parents. We will never forget your sojourn at our home in Waterloo. I think it became the cement that bound our families together. We are thankful and proud of Bruce' professional accomplishments in the world and for his life knowing him as a friend. - Posted by: Frank and Jacqui McFarlane (Friends) on: May 02, 2012

  • I have very fond memories living across the street from them on Acadia Bay! Every time I would come back and visit he always made me feel welcome. Bruce will be dearly missed - Posted by: Melody Schleicher (Friend) on: May 01, 2012

  • Judy, Ruth, Jane, Mary Ellen, Anne, Mark, grandchildren & all the family. Celebrate all the good times with him. My son David remembers him coaching baseball when Mark was on the team & they were little. No matter what anyone did, in Bruce's mind they were all great team members. He was like that with everything. I shall miss his enthusiasm, the way he would say "Nooooooo!", his flashing eyes. That and much more was our Bruce. Prayers are with you at this sad time. Remember the joy & laughter he brought to all of you. Chris - Posted by: Chris Butterill (friend) on: May 01, 2012

  • My sincere condolences to Judy and family. I cannot imagine your pain. Rest assured of my prayers and support. - Posted by: Mary Ann Rosenbloom (Friend) on: May 01, 2012
