Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN CHARLES BARANEISKI December 7, 1966 - May 1, 2012 Stephen, surrounded by family and close friends, went home to his creator on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the I.H. Asper Clinical Research Institute. Stephen is survived by his parents Charles (Chuck) and Maureen Baraneiski, his niece Lisa Christian (Rob) and great-niece Tianha, niece and nephew Tiffany and Anthony Lagacé and brother-in-law Donald Lagacé; other family members include his auntie Jaclyn, uncle Terry and auntie Sharon as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins and many close family friends, particularly Tannis. He was predeceased by his sister Sharon and niece Ashley. Stephen was a hard worker but enjoyed life particularly with his dogs Baran and Brandy. He was interested in sports and spent many happy hours riding the trails on his skidoo. As his health deteriorated, he fought long and hard to return to his former active lifestyle. The family would like to thank wholeheartedly the doctors and staff who looked after Stephen for the past seven months. The care he received was exemplary and went above and beyond the call of duty. Prayers will be held on Sunday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel 357 DesMeurons Street. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Hyacinthe Parish in La Salle, Manitoba, with Fr. Maurice Jeanneau and Fr. Armand LeGal, OMI officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Hyacinthe Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or a charity of your choice.
