MARIE LOUISE KACHOR Peacefully on May 2, 2012 Marie Louise Kachor of Winnipeg, MB. with her daughters at her side in Victoria General Hospital. Left to mourn: daughters Deb Crease (Tom), Cindy Takvam (Tom); grandchildren Tracy Ennis (Gary), Rob Takvam, Heather Pollock (Billy) and Michelle Crease (Josh Lark); great-grandsons Zack and Jared Ennis; sisters-in-law Elsie Kerbrat, Emily Kemp, Lenore (Leroy) Abel, Marilyn Kerbrat, as well as several nieces and nephews and good friend Charlotte Leake. Marie was predeceased by parents Jean and Louise Kerbrat; husband Joe Kachor; infant twin brother and sister Yves and Louise; brothers Dave, Hervè, Bob, and John Kerbrat. Marie was born in Ashern, MB on May 30, 1935. She married Joe Kachor in June of 1952 and settled to raise their daughters in Carman, MB in 1962. Marie was very active in the community both in Carman and Winnipeg, where she lived after Joe's passing in 1985. Her passion was her small garden outside her condo and her two cats Bogie and Mulligan. She volunteered for many organizations, most recently Palliative Care at Riverview and Meals on Wheels. The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria General Hospital for the kindness in Marie's care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr., Winnipeg, MB. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6; Victoria Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8, or to a charity of your choice.   • Deb & Cindy, I am so sorry to learn of your mother's death. I was totally shocked today when I received an email from Jeannette in St. Brieux telling me of it! Your mom had phoned me some time ago & mentioned that she hadn't been feeling well and we hung up with her telling me she would be in touch to let me know what the problem was. Then I got busy and never got back to her. How much I regret that! She truly was a caring, bubbly person and will be so missed.   • I remember Marie so fondly, as she worked as a teacher's aid with me in my kindergarten classroom at Holy Cross School, many moons ago. We had a particularly challenging group, and she was so patient, and always had a warm smile for everyone.   • Dear Family, I have known Marie for at least 15 years and was involved in the music at Mary Mother of the Church. I was the keyboard player for many years and always enjoyed Marie's enthusiastic personality. She always loved very up-beat music and had a wonderful zest for life. She always had a smile when we met and left me laughing uncontrollably so often. I was able to visit with her recently after attending a Mass at Mary Mother of the Church as Charlotte, my husband Fern, Marie and myself went out for supper at Smitty's. Marie was in true form and it was a joy to visit with her.
