My condolences to the family for your loss. I knew Hilda when we volunteered together at the East Selkirk Recreation Centre. Hilda was a hard worker and was someone you could always depend on. She always greeted everyone with a smile. I will be unable to attend the funeral service but my thoughts will be with you. - Posted by: Sharon Smith (Old Acquaintance) on: May 07, 2012

I've known Hilda & her family since I was a child; often spending many a summer on their farm. Hilda's mom, Aunt Jessie, was my dad's favorite sister. Like her mom, Hilda was always quick to laugh, warm hearted, and a hard worker. Hilda baby-sat me & my younger sister, Gloria, when my mom was in the hospital having my brother, Edward, and again when my mother was having another baby (4 years later), Violet. I loved Hilda & grew to like Bill, her boyfriend (who later became her husband) & in an act of protection of Hilda, I bit Bill on the leg. Hilda taught me how to dance at one of the many parties we had at our house in Brooklands. Yes, I remember Hilda, & I loved her. To Bill, Alexander, & David, & their families, I am so sorry for your loss. Love to you all, Esther - Posted by: Esther Enns (Cousin) on: May 06, 2012
