Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACQUELINE MCLOUGHLIN November 18, 1945 - May 4, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jackie passed suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the age of 66. Jackie was born in Liverpool, England and immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1976 with her husband and young children. Her love for Winnipeg was ever present and she enjoyed 25 years of service with her career at the Health Sciences Centre, retiring in 2005. A devoted grandmother, she gave from the heart every day of her life and especially cherished time with all her grandchildren in Winnipeg, Kelowna and Calgary. One of her many pleasures included travel to her homeland England where she enjoyed precious time with her family and created many lasting memories. Jackie's friends and family are shocked and saddened by her untimely departure and yet are so grateful for the time they shared together. The wonderful memories she left them will bring smiles to their faces for years to come. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richie, her son Timothy, as well as her mother Elizabeth and father John. Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her son Mark (Nicky), daughter Lisa (Randy); grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Jackson, Landon and Rachel; sisters Mary (Vin), Lily (Arthur), Gaby; brother Bill (Jean), and her many relatives, friends and loved ones she encountered throughout the years. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 10 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held on Saturday, May 12 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., followed by the interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Friends and family attending the service are welcome to join us immediately after the interment for refreshments at Glen Eden, share memories and celebrate the life of our loving Mother Jackie. Dear Lisa and Mark I am not sure you will receive this so long after your mum died, but I had been looking for your mum for some time and not considering that something happened to her! I am so shocked and so very, very saddened I knew your grandmother so long, your mum, and when Bill was here we spent time together! I feel like I know you both and I know how much your mum will be missed! I would be grateful if one of you could contact me I have no idea how to get in touch with any of you or Bill and would so appreciate an address for Bill and Jean ..I know they are in Warrington but where?...... I was in England when your mum died ... I loved your mum's warmth! And I will miss her! Lisa I know you will know me as your mum's podiatrist but.......we were good friends .... Sorry that such a time has passed .. But pls accept my condolences and know that your family will always hold a special place in my heart. - Posted by: Ailsa mcgregor (Friend) on: Mar 26, 2013

Hello, I met Jackie on B6.HSC when I was Nursing Supervisor on eve. shift. I heard this voice from a room saying "All right luv, I'll gerrit for yer" I stopped dead in my tracks and then followed the voice and said "Ey tatty lashes when did you gerroff the boat" She laughed her head off and we of course had an instant connection, our beloved Liverpool! We shared many a laugh as I would make my rounds or when I met her at the shops. My daughter Nicola also worked with Jackie at Children's and we both remember Jackie fondly as a genuinely kind and caring person, with of course that Liverpudlian sense of humour; Jackie worked so conscientiously and gave everything she was to patients and families. I wish I had seen more of her after I left HSC we always intended to 'get together' so I am deeply sad to hear of her death. She was great and will be greatly missed! With deepest sympathy and Blessings, Maureen McCartney and Nicola Thomas. - Posted by: Maureen McCartney(Thomas) (Friend) on: May 10, 2012

I was deeply saddened to hear of Jackie's passing. I worked with Jackie on B6 at the Health Sciences Centre back in the late 70's and early 80's. I will always remember her as a sweet compassionate hard working caregiver. She had a quick wit with a twinkle in her eye and we shared many good laughs together. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: Adeline (Ryczkowski) Noble (Friend) on: May 10, 2012
