VERNA WALLACE Peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012, Verna passed away at Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 83 years. Verna is survived by her loving husband, Alfie; daughter Linda; sons Kevin (Colleen) and Erin; granddaughters Jennifer (Blaine), Nettie, and Grace; great granddaughter Charli. Verna also leaves to mourn her sister Audrey and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Betty; brothers Bud and Gordon and son-in-law Keith. Verna was born and raised in Netley. Verna and Alfie were married in 1949, and they resided in the Petersfield area until moving to Selkirk after retirement. The family would like to thank the nurses and support staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion. At Verna's request there will be no formal service. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Verna's life on Sunday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Netley Community Hall.
