CARL FRANK PETERSEN 1933 - 2012 Peacefully, on Thursday, May 10, 2012, Carl Frank Petersen of Starbuck (born July 15, 1933) passed away at the Grace Hospital following a brief illness. Carl leaves siblings, Edith, Arthur (Cecile) and Arne (Val) and his special family, Doug (Janet), Rick (Dee) and Kim Peterson and their children Lisa, Tyler, Ricky (Lisa) and Tonya. Carl spent many years in the sheet metal industry and in his retirement years he enjoyed working alongside Doug and Rick in their shop, fishing and spending time with his extended family. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. I know Mr. Petersen as uncle Carl & met him when I was a teenager through my dad Gordon Giesbrecht. Our paths crossed several times through family dinners & gatherings & have enjoyed his sense of humor & warm personality.
