BETTY CLARICE BOUCHER (nee WILLIS) June 27, 1924 - May 6, 2012 Gently and peacefully, Betty passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, with her beloved husband and daughter by her side. Left to cherish Betty's memory are her beloved husband Gordon, sons Brad and Brett, daughter Lindy, grandchildren Gordon and Leigh. Betty was born and raised in Dauphin, MB, the baby daughter of five girls. This is where she met Gordon and they wed in 1949, making Winnipeg their permanent home in 1956. Wife of 62 years, Mother of four children, proud Nanna. She enjoyed life and the challenges it brought. Some of her, many varied interests included sewing, knitting, quilting, liquid embroidery and making ceramics. She was avid reader and extensively studied archeology at the University of Manitoba. Betty enjoyed hosting and attending bridge parties and all social events. With family in tow, camped all over North America and later enjoyed the comforts of the cabin at Lester Beach. She travelled with her daughter to Bermuda and spent 25 years wintering in Pharr, Texas. She had an active and productive life well spent and will be sincerely missed. A sharing of Betty's warmth and spirit will be honoured on Monday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations in Betty's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Gratefully, the family would like to acknowledge the tremendous care of the Grace Hospital staff given to Betty during her stay during November 2011 to February 2012. Also, to the staff of Tuxedo Villa for their exemplary thoughtfulness and kindness that they express and share towards all. God blesses your warmth and efforts.
